The problem reported does seem to have gone away. To post a comment:
1. Click on the relevant post.
2 Type comment and click 'post comment'.
3. Select your Google profile if you have one or 'anonymous'
4. Type the displayed characters whic are a spam filter.
5. Your comment will be shown after moderation.
